Acquired from: Cape Town Farms
Concentrates are gaining popularity both globally and locally, and more plugs are stocking the product than ever before. Cape Town Farms have a relatively cheap concentrate, which is a BHO extract made into a shatter. We don’t have information on the purge or strains used, but given that it was sold as an “indoor GH” we suspect that it was either made used indoor trim or a mixture of both greenhouse & indoor bud. They also sell these concentrates in small volume options, as small as 0.1g for R40.
This shatter definitely impressed us visually. Usually the cheaper BHO extracts one finds from local sellers is very dark and is typically easy to differentiate from high quality concentrates. This shatter was bright gold and broke apart with ease.
Taste & Aroma
While this extract had been quite well purged, the scent is that of both a citrus scent and that of butane. When smoked, we found that the taste echoed the scent and that the butane was fairly prominent, but not without a sweet lemon taste too. It was very smooth for the price point, with very little in the way of burning of the throat, like one can expect from badly purged BHO extracts.
We found that the high on this concentrate was enjoyable, with a steady energetic high that often comes with dabbing. There were certainly some snacks consumed post-smoke. It was an enjoyable high that was both a little ‘air heady’ and productive. In terms of strength, it wasn’t the most potent dab I’ve hit, and I found I needed a bit more than my usual indoor concentrate dose.
This is a very competitive priced product for the quality provided, and definitely within the realms of indoor trim concentrates that I have had in the past.
