The Atmos Jump is an entry level dry herb vape pen, offering those on a budget a healthier and stealthier alternative to smoking. It is a single temperature device which heats to 200’C. The lack of control over temperature may prove to be a deal breaker for some, especially those who are used to having control over their temps. However, at 200’C this vape pen does seem to find itself in a fairly good spot as far as non-adjustable vapes go.This pen is great for those not looking to indulge in the “Vape Culture”, but are instead looking for a simple, discreet method of smoking. You’re certainly not going to be creating any clouds with the Jump, but instead the device focuses on ease of use and sleek, easy to conceal design. The Jump certainly looks good, with a graphite look to it. The small size makes it easy to carry around with you when out and about.
The mouthpiece unscrews to reveal a small chamber where you can load your ground herb into. To turn on, one simply taps the button 3 times in quick succession. This will turn the light orange, which will remain until the vape has heated up to its usage temperature, after which the light will turn green and you’re good to go. This process is quick, and within 30 seconds you’ll be on your way to getting stoned.
One should draw slow and smoothly to avoid particle draw. We did find that we’d typically need to clean the mouth piece filter after each session, but this can be easily done thanks to several removable parts within the mouth piece, which are easy to screw on and off.
The quality of the smoke can be argued, however I found that the vape was sometimes a bit hot and caused some irritation in turn. However, many users do prefer warmer vaporization — and this is where having a temperature control can come in useful.Battery life isn’t terrible, with about 30 or so minutes of total use before requiring a recharge. Probably the biggest downfall for the Atmos Jump is the recharge time. The 1200mah battery takes about 3 hours to charge.
